MIS 2101: Digital Systems
January – September 2020
In Spring 2020, I became an Information Technology Assistant (ITA) for a section of MIS 2101: Digital Systems class. My main responsibilities include assisting my professor with evaluating and assigning grades for 23 in-class exercises and 12 assignments throughout the semester using Excel formulas. On top of that, I also hold office hours to help more than 200 students in the class with any questions regarding course materials relating to analyzing business data using various concepts and tools such as ER Diagrams, Swimlane Diagrams, JavaScript, basic HTML, and CSS.
I enjoy this role because I am able to work closely with my professor and to help MIS and non-MIS students with one of their first experiences with essential technologies. Also, assuming the role of an ITA allows me to retain and deepen the knowledge and skills that I have learned from this class, which is important to me particularly because it is my most favorite MIS class so far, and it was the one that helped me realize my potentials in the information systems and my passion for technology.
