Walmart
I spent summer 2015 interning at Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Global Back Office Solutions department, where I worked, simplifies processes across all divisions of Walmart by continually improving data and technology standardization. During my internship on the Business Intelligence team, I accomplished the following:
- Analyzed usage and performance of SAP Business Intelligence reports throughout all business areas of Walmart by running queries and conducting end-user interviews in order to justify cost-saving decommissions on unused reports.
- Collaborated with the Global Sourcing team to increase visibility on spending for Goods Not For Resale by analyzing cost reports from SAP.
- Created dashboards on SAP Lumira from information gathered on Goods Not For Resale spend to provide the Global Sourcing team real-time data on demand to assist in understanding and reducing its spend.
