AIS is a great way for students to connect with industry professionals and get a view of what job positions are available to MIS majors as we figure out what we want to do in the future. Industry professionals from startups, large companies, and small companies come and speak to students every Monday about their job positions and positions that are available within the companies they work for. They get a chance to see what we know and teach us about some of the innovative technologies that we are not familiar with. This is another way for students to build their networks. AIS also get students involved in the community, giving back to those less fortunate and even improving technology at elementary schools. It’s also a great way to meet new people (students) with similar interests. AIS has allowed me to learn of things you don’t hear about in the news that companies are doing to improve their business. I have learned so many skills from being a member of AIS and I am grateful to have been part of such an amazing student organization.
