FSO Assurance Accounting Intern
Over the summer of 2020, I interned in the Assurance Services Practice of EY’s Financial Services Organization. During the internship I got to experience the audit process while doing client work on an engagement team. I was chosen as 1 of 150 assurance interns across the country to participate in EY’s Digital Ambassador Program during my internship. In this program, I learned about the digital audit process and how to tell a story with data using programs such as Alteryx and Power BI. At the conclusion of the program, we participated in a digital sprint challenge where we solved real client issues using the data provided. We presented our findings to the engagement teams working with the clients as well as EY professionals and partners, while competing against the other teams. Overall, this internship was a perfect merge of my two majors, Accounting and MIS, and I used the knowledge that I’ve learned from both majors at Fox over the course of the internship.
