Kara Higginbotham is Vice President, Head of Corporate Accounts for Cyber and Professional Liability at Zurich North America. Based in New York, Kara has national responsibilities that include underwriting, strategic planning, and marketing. She began her insurance career in 2008 as a professional liability and cyber underwriter before transitioning to a Product Manager role focused on underwriting strategy and profitability for Cyber, Media, and Reputational Risk. She holds a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter designation and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.

Paul Needle
Senior Vice President, Cyber Treaty Underwriter @Munich Reinsurance America, Inc.
Paul Needle serves as Senior Vice President, Cyber Treaty Underwriter for Munich Re US. He began his insurance career as a Managing General Underwriter for AON Affinity before serving as a professional lines underwriter for AIG and Zurich Insurance. Prior to joining Munich Re in April 2021, Paul spent eight years at CNA Insurance, most recently as the Financial Institution Cyber Product Lead. A passionate advocate for increasing cyber expertise across the cyber liability supply chain, Paul holds a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) designation. He earned an MBA in Finance and an M.S. in IT Auditing and Cybersecurity from Temple University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Scranton.

Alan Phan
VP of IT Audit @Chubb
Alan Phan is a VP of IT Audit at Chubb helping the organization manage and minimize information technology risks. He has over 15 years of IT experience in areas of privacy, security, and cyber risk management working in the corporate environment and as a consultant. As a strong supporter of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Alan serves on multiple boards and committees to help influence and shape organizational culture. He is a co-chair of Mosaic Asian Alliance, an employee resource group bringing awareness to Asian and Asia-ally communities at Chubb. Alan sits on the Board of Trustees for the Folk Arts-Cultural Treasures Charter School (FACTS) located in Chinatown, Philadelphia helping to cultivate young minds of the future. He also sits on the Advisory Council of Temple University’s Information Technology Audit and Cyber Security (ITACS) Program assisting with student development, curriculum, and strategy.

John V. Dormuth
Director of Industry Relations/Assistant Professor of Practice @Temple University,
John Dormuth serves as Director of Industry Relations and Assistant Professor of Practice for the Fox School’s Department of Risk, Actuarial Science & Legal Studies. He is a liaison between the RASLS Department and the risk and insurance industry and teaches courses in risk management, insurance and personal finance. Prior to joining Temple University, John spent 25 years in the property & casualty insurance industry providing client service in sales, marketing and operations for global, national and regional corporations. He is a recipient of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations and maintains a producer’s license in both Property & Casualty and Health, Life and Annuities for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. John earned a Master of Science Degree in Insurance Management from Boston University. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University where he majored in Accounting and Risk.
