Intro to AI-assisted Text Mining in Proquest TDM Studio
In this webinar, we were taught to use Proquest TDM studio in an interactive environment in order to perform AI-assisted text mining. We used Jupyter notebooks of various topics and searched for others in order to properly organize data so that it was structured for viewing. Although there were flaws with the AI involving specificity of prompt and the data involved, this activity proved to be helpful and showed off the potential of AI to make data visualization and cleaning easier to perform and present. Our host, Alex, made the activity very interactive and was very adept at explaining and using Proquest TDM and provided a rich history on the platform and its integration of AI, as well as giving us tips for using Python and Jupyter.
