Work Experience
I worked as a lifeguard at Paradise Country Club in New Haven, CT from June 2013 – August 2014. While there, I learned how to talk to and deal with both children and irate parents, a skillset that has proven to be quite beneficial when communicating with others. Diligence was also the name of the game during this job as I was responsible for the lives of these children, so it taught me to have quite an eye for detail.
My second working experience was as an intern at Caplan and Hecht, LLC in New Haven, CT. It was a small, general practice law firm that dealt with a variety of issues from real estate to personal injury law. I helped both Geoffrey and Josh Hecht with anything they needed, be it sitting in on a client meeting or title searching with them. This opportunity vastly improved my attention to detail as any mistake in a title search could lead to a possible lawsuit if a future title dispute came up. This job also further developed my communication skills as talking to a client is a very different situation that speaking to a parent.
