Why Design Thinking is a Sales Super Power

  1. Name of sponsoring organization – UX Nights
  2. Details of the activity – This is a zoom event on April 19 at 6:00pm hosted by Michael Tedeschi from UX Nights with speaker Ashely Welch, who is the co-founder of Somersault Innovation.
  3. What you learned – I learned about the financial payoffs of implementing design thinking in a UX context. Design thinking prioritizes what your user actually wants and needs, not what you think they should want or should need. When you start delivering what they want, you will see your sales rise.
  4. How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals – This relates to my coursework because I have learned a lot about design thinking as an entrepreneurship minor and I learned a lot about UX in the UX Design MIS class.
