Coursework
Since I began my time at Temple, I have been taking challenging courses that test and develop my problem solving skills. These courses also develop my knowledge in areas that cover both of my major areas of interest: business and techonology.
Being a junior at Temple, I have already completed multiple MIS courses including data analytics, data-centric application development and enterprise IT architecure.
Data Analytics
Data Analytics is focused on learning how to analyze business data and present solutions and insights based on that data. I became familiar with how to use softwares such as MySQL and R and have created data models based on business rules. This class made me realize how important data can be to an organization and gave me the opportunity to operate and manage databases.
Data-Centric Application Development
In this class, I learned the basics of have creating software applications. We focused on the programming languages HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL and I have experience with creating simple data driven applications that connect to databases. I look forward to furthering my knowledge in these areas of programming, as well as learning knew languages and how to apply and debug them.
