Assistant Manager, Pool Operations, May 2005 – Present

As the Assistant Manager at the swim club I would regularly work 40 hours a week as a lifeguard, at the front desk, or in the snack bar. We have our members in addition to at least 300 camp kids from the local recreation centers and daycare centers from Monday through Friday throughout the summer. I personally was responsible for opening and closing the pool, making sure all of the proper health codes were being followed in cleaning processes as well as in food service, vacuuming the pool in the morning before opening the pool, checking the pool’s chlorine and pH levels every two hours, in addition to solving the issues with an aging pump room. I also worked as a lifeguard private parties through the country club where the pool was located during weekends as needed.

Red CrossRed Cross Lifeguard Instructor, July 2011 – Present
In addition to the regular managerial responsibilities I had I am also a Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor. This gave me the extra responsibilities for holding monthly training sessions for the pool staff as well as being both the coach and the captain of the lifeguard team. I have held several full Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR/AED courses as well as the re-certification courses over the past couple summers. I contribute to hiring new staff members based on my assessment of their knowledge and skill level of the necessary skills needed to perform the job efficiently and effectively.

Senior Center Building Assistant, August 2012 – September 2013

I was responsible for setting up, and breaking down all of the furniture used in the rentals or special events that are held in the senior center. I was also required to stay there and oversee the rental to make sure that there are no issues with the renters or the facilities.

Retail, Sales, September 2012 – May 2013

I am personally responsible for working the register, knowing the inventory, as well as restocking the shelves as often as possible. It is also our number one priority to provide excellent customer satisfaction so I must be able to direct any person to what they are looking for even when they have nothing in mind. I was originally hired as holiday help but then started to work almost full time during the holidays and have earned a permanent position there. I was also trained how to do manual transactions in cases when the power goes out or the computer system freezes or fails. I was also in charge of assembling any products a customer purchased that needed assembling.
