Philadelphia_EaglesWatching Sports

I am a huge fan of all the major Philadelphia sports teams including the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers. I am one of the most passionate fans that would attend every event if I could and I refuse to leave the game early no matter what the score. My favorite team changes during the course of the year depending on who is playing but I guess if I had to pick one it would be the Philadelphia Eagles. One of Philliesmy childhood idols was former Eagles running back and current Eagles running back coach Duce Staley, especially after my dad and I got to meet him in the elevator after an Eagles game when I was a kid. He was not the most naturally gifted player but worked harder than anyone, refused to give up, and was one of the most determined to succeed players I have ever seen. To me that is what sports are all about, giving it your all, going the extra mile, never quitting, and always working towards perfection.

Playing Sports

FlyersI also thoroughly enjoy playing every sport except soccer. I especially like playing sports that are easy to have pickup games in like basketball and hockey. There is no better way to spend a nice cool summer day in my mind than out on a golf course. In my years in college I have participated in more intramural sports than I can count from softball, to flag football, to playing in charity basketball tournaments. I recently took up some of the extreme sports such as snowboarding and longboarding so I can continue to live in the moment. Throughout my life swimming was the one sport that I really excelled at including receiving four varsity letters and being named a team captain my senior year.

Hunting & Fishing

I have not gone in the past couple of years because I have been in school but I really enjoy the outdoors and going hunting. I started off just by going canoeing and going fishing in the creek close to my house. Then it evolved into something way more. I ended up getting a compound bow and going to the local rod and gun club for target practice. I started to get pretty good at it and after a couple years of that I finished my hunter’s safety course and received my hunter’s license. I have gone on deer hunts countless number of times, and gone on a couple turkey hunts after that. It is definitely something I am looking forward to getting back into after graduation.
