Cybersecurity Professionals: The New Warfighters for National Security Webinar
Rodney Newton, an information security professional, discussed the importance of cybersecurity in terms of the Department of Defense and national security. The risk of security and data breaches can cause the downfall of the government, supply chain, and everyone that is involved. Everyone becomes a target, so to mitigate these risks and minimize security incidents they bring in IT audit professionals that help organize and protect data and other vulnerabilities. For example, ensuring that vendors were following protocol and are complying with NIST SP 800-171 standards.
