This course gave me experience writing short research papers that show the value of a proposed technology. We practiced techniques on how to effectively communicate to management.
MIS 2502 Data Analytics
This course gave me a basic understanding of relational database design, analyzing data, and presenting insights. This course gave me hands on experience creating data models with SQL based on business rules.
MIS 3501 Data-Centric Applications Development (Satisfies: MIS 2402)
In this course we designed a web-based data-centric application. We created a webpage with forms that took user input and wrote it into a database. This gave me the basic understanding of how to set up a web-based application with a database backend.
MIS 3535 Lead Global Digital Projects
This course gives hands on experience in project management. We created project plans to communicate with stakeholders. This course showed me the importance of properly planned projects, and how different employees see projects through different lenses.
