The corporate headquarters of The Chemours Company in Wilmington, DE, has IT Intern/Co-op opportunities available within the IT function.
The successful candidate will acquire an understanding of application portfolios within Chemours and will collaborate with the work-steam lead to determine cost data (total cost of ownership) and develop a matrix to aid in driving potential projects.
Responsibilities include, but not limited, to:
- Design SharePoint site to represent all work-stream rationalization work; Drive rituals to update application data and project status/reports.
- Drive project to reduce applications.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Enrolled in an accredited higher education institution
- Minimum 2 – 3 years toward Computer Sciences, Computer Programming, Information Sciences, MIS, Software Engineering or related discipline
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of Sharepoint
- Project Management
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without restriction
My Projects/ My Goals:
eLab Desktop Technician/SCCM Updates:
- eLab
1)Supported users in the eLab with various software, hardware, and network issues.
2)Successfully imaged over 50+ computers and underwent Chemours certified imaging training process
- SCCM Update Project:
1)Updated 70+ users SCCM client (Software Center), fixing numerous security issues
My Deliverables:
- Supported 900+ users with various hardware, software, and network issues. Provided a large majority of users with solutions to work impairing issues.
- SCCM Client is the vehicle we use to patch and update PCs. It’s also used to install approved software.
- Updating CM client allowed Chemours to –
- Apply much needed security patches
- Apply updates to computers that are out of date
- Eliminate a security threat “Vector”
- Learned the process to image a computer
