Hobbies

Soccer (Futbol) is my number one favorite sport.  I have fallen in love with the sport ever since the second grade, which was when I joined my first soccer team.  I have played on a team for 14 years of my life.  I believe soccer has shaped me into the person I am today.  Through this sport I was able to learn about teamwork, responsibility, determination, respect, passion, and so much more.  I believe sports are a great way to learn about yourself and your strengths.  I believe this is a sport that I could play for the rest of my life.

Snowboarding has become a sport that I have grown to respect very much.  It is a great sport to embrace one’s thoughts.  I think about many life issues while I snowboard.  It is quite peaceful and exhilarating at the same time.  I have snowboarded for about 12 years now and I plan to continue honing my skills in this sport.

Technology has become a huge part of our everyday lives.  During my free time online I have the tendency to research new emerging technologies.  Normally, focusing on productivity for my macbook pro.  A small example includes implementing Parallels, which is a useful virtualization application that allows me to run multiple virtual machines on the macbook pro.  In the end, Parallels problem solved the issue of compatibility.  Now, I have the freedom to download and run Apple applications or PC applications without hesitation.

Traveling has always been a passion of mine.  I realized that getting out of my own comfort zone is the best way to see how I will interact with my surrounding peers and how I manage problems whatever it may be.  I have travelled to China, Taiwan, and South Korea for an internship with ICSN Group.  I believe visiting China and Taiwan was a huge culture shock to me.  Not being able to communicate might have been the biggest obstacle but understanding the culture, lifestyle, and ethics is what I gained in return.  I also, studied abroad in Rome, Italy.  This was an eye opening experience because of the extended amount of time I lived in Rome.  Everyday I was exposed to the culture and lifestyle.  At first I had no clue what siesta was and thought of it as counter productive for a business. But sometimes it isn’t about what I think it’s about embracing the change.  Overall, traveling is indeed a great experience and I would encourage it to all.  It helped me get through problems one step at a time and allowed me to understand myself a little more everyday.
