LinkenIn Learning

The first LinkedIn Learning that I decided to complete was “Cutting-Edge CSS” because after completing MIS2101 I was interested in going more in depth with my CSS knowledge. CSS and HTML go hand-in-hand. HTML is telling the code what you want it to do and what you want the information to show or be. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) put the previously mentioned information in the places and with the style that you most prefer. The Cutting-Edge CSS LinkedIn Learning videos provide information regarding how to analytically position grids and columns so that we can place specific items or information into cells. This course was created to teach a more conceptual way of using CSS while also explaining often misused features that CSS provides. My favorite trick was the clamp() function. This is used when you have a designated area that will have text in it, but this specific area changes depending on the size of the viewport. The clamp() function choses the best size font for the specific area by inputting a minimum, preferred, and maximum font size so the computer can then decide based off of the viewport size how large or small the text will be. I love HTML and CSS and hope to use them in my future career. Being able to learn through LinkedIn Learning is a great way to build technology skillsets in specific subjects, especially in a short amount of time.
