Immersive Systems, Inc.
I obtained an internship with Immersive Systems, Inc. in August 2017. Immersive Systems has developed an application to follow basketball statistics in a revolutionary way. During the course of my internship, I began by gathering data and entering it into a spreadsheet, properly formatted w/ JSON to be parsed directly into the application. This process required me to edit video clips and convert image/video files where necessary.
In mid-September, I was invited to attend the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator demo-day in New York City. Here, I had the opportunity to network with several other tech-based start-up companies, and then present the application to potential investors following a series of presentations. This was a great experience communicating with potential stakeholders and highlighting the unique data visualization methods that differentiate the application.
Following the demo-day, Immersive Systems hired me to assist with their social media campaign. I have assisted with the creation of a marketing strategy, and have also been creating and publishing content from their accounts across numerous platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). A key component of my work with the social media campaign has been interacting with major media accounts and media figures to increase the following of the company, as well as in-cooperating data from our application into my posts to boost virality.
