While employed with MBC Solutions– a third-party IT vendor– I had the opportunity to shadow fellow technicians working on a wide variety of problems. I often traveled to our client’s locations with other techs where I could see all of the different setups we had in place, and how they differed depending on each businesses specific needs. Some of the tasks I worked on include but are not limited to network configuration, server virtualization, virus eradication techniques, SonicWall configuration and install, software installs/updates, data transfers, new PC setup, and remote desktop assistance.
Walker Comerford Law L.L.C

During my internship at Walker Comerford Law, L.L.C., I was given many opportunities to learn and grow as a young professional. I began observing the day-to-day operations at the firm– some client interactions, court appearances– in order to understand what the business was really like. Shortly after that, I was assigned to assist in the digitalization of previous case files that had accumulated over the firm’s 20+ years of experience. To do this, I worked with DropBox technology to make all of their files universally accessible to anyone within the firm in an organized fashion. I spent the last half of the summer working on building a foundation for the firm’s new website. During this process, I had to elicit information from different members of the firm to gain an understanding of what they wanted their new website to present. I had to research what tools I thought would work best for the task, and make a suggestion to the firm. We decided together to use Weebly web services, where I created the base for the firm’s new website. This task alone allowed me to learn about information elicitation, web development, and website design.
