IT Career Fair
The IT career fair is an annual event that happens at Temple University. With this students are able to talk to leading professionals in the business and technology sector, as well as get a perfect networking opportunity as they are allowed a very personal way of talking to companies and firms. This event was perfect in allowing students a taste of what exactly to expect in the professional sector, as well as talk and get feedback from potential employers in order to refine their professional skills.
As an MIS major this event was key in the development of my professional skills, as before these events I never even once talked to a professional that wasn’t in my family. It allowed me to cumulate a rough network and get my foot through the door when it comes to my budding professional career. I heavily recommend anyone who can attend these events to do so and any professional to get a stand in. Events like these allow companies to see the future cream of the crop when it comes to employees, and allows them to show what exactly they are looking for in any future professional.
