- What you learned
- This webinar was really helpful in that it showed me the opportunities that present themselves within the developing industry. The presenter talked a lot about getting started in the industry and where her personal path was. She also talked about the challenges she faced, whether it be location based, software based, or others. I think the biggest take away from this event was the opportunities this industry promises, like an overall growth and demand for developers.
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals
- I just finished up MIS 2402 – Data-Centric Application Development, where we learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This class sparked my interest in coding and made me think about going into the developing industry because it showed me how much I liked project-based tasks. This class also taught me a lot of what I thought I knew and used on a daily basis like this website right here I am posting to. A lot goes into making a successful website and I have a new found appreciation of a well-thought-out website.
