    1. The webinar discussed the importance of Linux, which was described as a popular operating system known for its stability, security, and flexibility. Linux is widely used in many areas of technology like IoT development. Linux can also form part of a digital trust strategy and help forward its goals. The Linux ecosystem includes the Linux kernel, GNU/Linux, Linux distributions, package management, monolithic kernel architecture, and command line interface. Security features such as Discretionary access control, Administrative accounts, Default artifacts, and Mandatory access control were also discussed, as well as PAM and container segmentation enforcement.

  4. How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals
    1. Attending this webinar proved to be pretty useful to my career goals because it highlights the importance of Linux in various areas of technology, including supercomputers, web servers, and IoT development. Understanding Linux is crucial since I will likely encounter and work with Linux systems in my future career. The webinar also touched on the importance of security and the role Linux plays in achieving digital trust goals, which is a critical aspect of managing and protecting an organization’s information systems. Additionally, the webinar highlighted technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ishtio/Envoy, and Terraform, which are widely used in my future field.
