According to Gartner, Deloitte is the number one global consulting firm by market share. I interned in Deloitte’s Technology Consulting practice in Arlington, VA.
For nine weeks, I worked on an engagement to create a synthetic data center of excellence at a client. This center of excellence would provide synthetic data to all business units, increasing data security and improving the accuracy of IT testing. I worked on three work streams: data analysis, data creation and management, and project management. These streams were responsible for collating requirements for synthetic data, creating sample synthetic data, automating data creation, and ensuring project alignment with other projects.
At the same time, I worked on a team of four interns and one analyst to deliver a Human Resources solution to reduce turnover and turnover-related costs for a non-government organization in Guatemala. After the initial nine weeks, my team flew to Guatemala to lead a workshop, where we presented our initial solution and co-created a final solution with the management team, employees, and business customers. Based on this solution, we delivered an implementation plan for the organization.
