- Provided support to internal staff and financial advisors through various projects
- Preformed in-depth analysis and analytics on various firm holdings and client portfolios
- Assembled and presented comprehensive research on artificial intelligence integration in the financial industry and at BLBB Advisors
Projects:
- AI Integration Project: Conducted research on artificial intelligence and its potential use cases in the financial industry. Analyzed BLBB Advisors internal operations and developed suggestions on how AI technology could be integrated into firm operations. Presented findings across departments and to senior management.
- Valuation Dashboard Project: Designed a comprehensive valuation dashboard for internal portfolio managers and financial advisors using Y-Charts. The dashboard allows users to access a variety of time-series financial analytics for BLBB’s large cap model.
- Dynamic Portfolios Model Project: Created two dynamic portfolio models that incorporated three-year trailing portfolio trade data. Dynamic portfolios allowed portfolio managers to access time-series visualizations of portfolio performance on contingent weighting criteria.
- Stock Analysis Project: Assembled a equity research presentation to pitch a buy recommendation on a publicly traded large-cap US equity. Performed analysis and quantitative analytics on three separate securities to determine which security would best fit in BLBB’s large cap model.
Summary:
Over the course of my internship, I have gained extremely valuable industry experience and learned a great deal about the technological implementation within the financial industry. Through the project I worked on, I was able to utilize skills and technical competencies I learned in courses such as MIS 2502 and MIS 2402. I was able to conduct analytics and design applications to greatly assist the efficiency and work accuracy of portfolio managers and financial advisors at BLBB Advisors. Additionally, I was able to increase my understanding and competency with AI technology, particularly within the financial industry, while assisting BLBB advisors with its own internal AI integration to support its operational efficiency.
