IBIT Mentoring Program
I participated in the IBIT mentoring program sponsored by the Institute For Business And Information Technology for the Fall of 2022. I had a few meetings with Mr. Patel, currently in a CIO role at Greystone. during the semester on Zoom. The biggest value that a professional IT manager should have is adoption. As an IT manager, you always have to consider how people adopt this new technology or new updates released by the company. Even IT managers cannot always adopt new technology and program. However, if it is innovative and helpful for the company, you should learn the skills to adopt it. Through this program, I experienced significant professional development.I appreciate that I could have a chance to talk to a professional IT manager who currently works in the field. I could hear a lot of insightful and vivid experiences happening in the current MIS society. This mentorship was greatly helpful to broaden my vision and perspective. Therefore, I learned about different career paths, emerging technologies, time management. I feel more prepared and ready to pursue my career after this program.
