Coursework has a huge impact on personal and professional development. Business Statistics is related to MIS. It allows you to perform statistical analysis on large data. Financial Accounting is one of the core concepts of MIS. Every company uses financial accounting to keep track of their financial transactions. Since MIS is my major, It is crucial to know one of the core concepts which is financial accounting. MIS includes decision making and problem-solving. Microeconomics is a class that taught me what decisions are based on and how it affects demand and supply for goods and services. MIS 2101 is a class that teaches all the base knowledge of MIS. As mentioned, MIS is problem-solving and decision making and in this class, I learned how to use swim-lane diagrams, ERDs to make better decisions. The knowledge from this class will take me a long way!
