Who’s On Your Network? A Look at Insider Threats
Tim Black, the internal Audit Director for Cyber-Security at Vanguard, discussed certain insider threats pertaining to his years of experience in designing, auditing, and consulting for a handful of cybersecurity programs. He went over the specific ways that insider threats can be detected, prevented, and also exemplified his ideal candidate for such a position. It was great to gain the knowledge that insider threats are all over the work force and could even be someone sitting at the desk over from you. All in all, Mr. Black provided a useful presentation that I will carry into my coursework revolving these topics because I never realized how prevalent these kinds of threats are inside an organization.
