Website and Communications Intern

This past summer I was offered a position for a Website and Communications Intern at No One Left Behind. I had worked under CEO Rankin Weller and Marketing and Communications leader Anna Peacock. The job function for this position consisted of directing website development and publication for a charitable organization which was dedicated to supporting U.S. government employees and interpreters who were eligible for Special Immigrant Visas. The companies website, on average, would receive a substantial 10,000 monthly visit count.  Some of the projects I was able to work on was develop a newsletter signup light-box, from scratch, that sorted clients, donors, and advocates. This allowed No One Left Behind to target audiences which they could not do before. Also developing and implementing a cookies and tracking program to gather donor and client data. This internship helped me see the process of website development and how much work goes into working on an actual website. I was able to use my knowledge I gained from courses taken at Temple for example HTML, JavaScript, and etc. This internship helped me gain valuable skills needed to further boost my education and career.
