Personal Interests

As an undergraduate student in the Fox School of Business I spend the majority of my time attending class and completing assignments. However in my  free time I enjoy coaching my hockey team, watching movies, and cooking, and working with tools.

Growing up in Northeast Philadelphia a crowded urban area, playing sports were a major part of my childhood. I played football, hockey, baseball, and basketball for Holmesburg, the local neighborhood boys club. I met some of my best friends on these teams, and contribute many of my personal traits like determination and leadership to them. When Holmesburg boys club reached out to me because they needed coaches in order to keep their hockey program running I jumped at the opportunity. I spend a few nights a week with my team, and I am truly grateful for the experience.

When I was 16 I started dish washing at a popular neighborhood restaurant named Curran’s Irish Inn, and by the time I had graduated high-school I was one of the head cooks in the kitchen. I still cook at Curran’s, but because of school and hockey I now only work one night, but cooking is still a passion of mine.

On the weekends, and during the week in the summer I work with a private contractor doing things like roofing, striping homes and landscape. To most people this may just seem like hard work, and it is, but my job description is constantly expanding and I love expanding my knowledge and skill set when it comes to tools and physical work.
