- Shadowed experienced professionals during client meetings, gaining insights into effective communication and client interaction within the advisory context. Developed Excel spreadsheets to track project progress, collate data, and assist in financial analysis, contributing to streamlined workflows. Participated in workshops and seminars on industry-specific topics, expanding their knowledge and understanding of advisory practices.
- The main project I was working on was an engagement with Verizon and their Acceleration Factory. I wasn’t able to really see the final product, but it was still a great experience being able to work alongside the many professionals I was with.
- The biggest thing I learned doing this internship was the importance of resilience. There are times when doing client-based work when things may not always go your way or the client may not be on the same page as you. The key is to not let it stress you out, but instead find ways to make your situation work regardless of the circumstances. This relates to my major because I hope to be able to one day go into the advisory field, and this gives a great guideline of what my future could very much look like.
