Professional Networking and Influence
I completed a professional development course on Linkedln Learning’s website. The course was about professional networking and influence. It consisted of short videos separated by chapters and quizzes at the end of each chapter. I learned about networking maps, influencing people without manipulation, and managing your exposure. Also, it tells how to use those tips and when they’re appropriate to use. I learned about how and when to talk to authority figures, peers, and those I want to work or network with and how to navigate those types of interactions. This course relates to my career goals due to the tips it gave me on how to network myself to people and maintain those connections to further my professional development and career. It also, gave my skills to communicate with a clear purpose and goal in mind when networking.
