PROJECTS:

Initiated an information system project that saved company $150,000. Selected and lead a team of 12 through a 7 month multi-divisional project tasked with analyzing related business processes and the redesigning of a payroll application in order to integrate it with a newly designed product fulfillment application. The successful integration provides cost control for a piece-rate driven facility while improving the overall integrity of the data collection. The savings achieved were in labor costs and occurred during the integration’s first six months of implementation; production had increased over the same time frame.
Recently offered a promotion to communications coordinator as a result to serving as a member of a 25+ steering committee (which included company president) tasked with both the company’s re-branding & redesign of company’s web site. Two international vendors were hired; I served as a primary liaison to representatives of both vendors. Served on two subcommittees including leading the content management committee responsible for all copy and menu structure for web site.

EXPERIENCE:

ELWYN, Aston, PA 2005 – Aug 2016

Management Systems Liaison: Reporting directly to both the Executive Director of Industries and Director of Finance, I analyzed business processes and managed projects relating to IT and marketing over the last 11 years. Projects ranged from implementing electronic processes and designing database applications to publishing two company websites. Using 25 years’ experience in database design, I constructed normalized entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) to developers and workflow diagrams for non-technical staff, all with understanding the importance of segregation of duties. Routinely delivered system demonstrations and end-user trainings to all business services locations in PA, DE, NJ, and CA.

Analyzed, managed, and launched six information systems: Production & Billing, Payroll, Attendance, Supported Employment Tracking, Surveys, and Warehouse Management. Successes were documented monetarily in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Reference from executive director available on request.
Took many initiatives to improve coworkers’ work environment. For example, I replaced a co-worker’s overwhelming process, consisting of typewritten invoices and several filing cabinets, with a small desktop invoicing application.
After giving notice to leave Elwyn in order to become a full-time student at Temple, Elwyn asked me to stay on in limited capacity to help support the six applications I helped launch. I currently still work for Elwyn part-time.

SONY, Fort Myers, FL 1999 – 2003

IT Specialist: Started as a Tech Level I, but promoted in first six months to IT Specialist. Assisted & trained technical support representatives in solving hardware, software, wired & wireless network connectivity problems with desktop and notebook computers, networking devices, bundled software, and handheld devices. Selected to join Six Sigma Team and served as a member on many projects.

Joined Sony’s Six Sigma Project Management Team working on a variety of projects focused on streamlining interdepartmental processes and new information systems.
Resulting from a successful project, I piloted Sony’s first remote control software used to resolve computer issues.
Received multiple distinguished ratings citing my initiative and performance.
