Career Objectives & Preparation
Efficiency is something that I value extremely high. My previous time at Staples allowed me to see that efficiency can make or break a particular part of a company. Improving that aspect can open so many doors for not only employees to be more proactive but also for the company to improve in many different aspects. Working at The School District of Philadelphia has allowed me to learn many aspects to a company. I have learned about the financial side by helping prepare quarterly financial reports for the director of finance to present to the COO. I have learned about the operational side and everything that is involved with keeping over 250 schools open and running smoothly. I have also brought my expertise of what I learned in the MIS program by developing a plan to make some operational situations, such as payroll and ordering fuel/oil, then implementing that plan and teaching other employees how to operate it. I have learned how to approach meetings with upper management, and what types of information that they are looking for.
