AIS Augmented Reality Workshop (10/6/18)
Just attended an Augment Reality workshop with AIS and had a great time! We (everyone attending) made use of Unity and Vuforia to create a program that displayed a video overlay when holding up a temple logo image, and a 3D model that stood on a dollar bill. It was a very cool experience getting some hands on practice with Unity, and diving into the world of AR even with my, at the moment, limited programming abilities. Attending this Workshop was great, especially since lunch was included, and taught the a little bit of the basics of AR to really get me hooked on the idea and future of AR. I hope I find time to experiment more with the software we used, and I find a way to port my Unity program from my windows laptop to my apple phone, though I doubt that it is possible (APPLE!).
