Listed below is my job work experience. The listed positions below are all dealing with customer service, while I believe is an essential skill to learn in almost any professional work field. You can have all the technical skills in the world and be prestigious at what you do, but without good people skills, it is my belief that you will not be able to go too far. Such people skills are developed through retail and customer service roles, something that I have had experience with since I was old enough to work.
Shift Supervisor at Starbucks Coffee from September 2018 to August 2019
Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas. Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions. Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation. Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities. Count money and make bank deposits.
Server at Pine Run Community (Doylestown, PA) from January 2017 to June 2018
Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Take orders from patrons for food or beverages. Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Roll silverware, set up food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties. Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom. Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee. Garnish and decorate dishes in preparation for serving.
