AIS Mentorship Program
I joined AIS in Fall 2019 and thought it would be a good idea to acclimate myself a little more to the organization by joining the mentorship program. My mentor, Catherine, worked on the social media team and was a great mentor. She introduced me to many people in the organization including faculty and members of AIS. She helped me stay on track for the different tracks. She gave me great advice about the MIS major and was always friendly. This program helped me make some friends and made me feel like I was a part of the organization. I’m looking forward to more events related to this program and to make more friends!
I continued my mentorship with Catherine into Spring 2020 and felt it helped me in the major! Having Catherine and my co-mentee Luke was very helpful and I was thankful for the opportunity to be able to continue the year with them. I have been introduced to even more faculty and members of AIS which has helped me in my classes and in applying for obtaining an internship. I look forward to hopefully getting involved in this program again in Fall 2020 as a mentee!
