Cloud Architecture Intern

  1. IT Architecture

    During the summer of 2020, I interned at PPL Electric Utilities in the IT Architecture department, more specifically on the Cloud Architecture Team. Over the course of my internship, I leveraged Microsoft Tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, and Power Automate to manage the organization\\\\\\\’s content.  With the goal of reducing file redundancy, I created a workflow for content approval using Power Automate. Through the many tasks, events, and meetings I learned a great deal about the agile work and the scrum process. I gained valuable experience in meetings with the company leadership and vendors. One of the intern based events I enjoyed was the Belbin Team Role Assessment. Taking the Belbin Assessment I learned that my top three team roles are the “Plant”, “resource Investigator”, and the “Implementer”. Meaning that my creativity, optimism, and organization skills can add value to any team.

    I am extremely thankful to have been able to intern at PPL EU during a time of innovation. While working remotely was initially a challenge, I quickly adapted by attending events that allowed me to experience the company\\\\\\\’s culture. My coach and supervisor gave me valuable insight from the time I started up until the last days of my internship. I look forward to keeping in contact with them as well as the many people who I developed friendships with over the summer. Through conversations with leaders in UX and Design, I have realized my strong desire to pursue a career as an experience designer.

    UX Design

    At the close of my Summer internship at PPL EU, I was offered to continue my internship in the Fall as part of the User Experience Design Team as an Employee Experience Design Intern. In the past few weeks, I have been working on creating empathy and journey maps, note-taking on usability testing, and brainstorming on projects for company advancement.
