My Interests
Data Analytics
My interest in Data Analytics is what inspired me to become an MIS major. I kept hearing about “Big Data”, but never really understood what it meant, so I did some research. I began to see that data has had astounding impacts on the world, and that there is so much work left to be done, and so much uncharted territory. Consulting
Another reason I was drawn to MIS was the diversity of this major. Every day is different – no two problems are the same. For that reason, I am interested in a career involving consulting because it will allow me to contribute to all the different facets and departments of a business. It will allow me to stretch my imagination and my boundaries to bring about change for my clients.
Business Ethics
My interest in ethics comes from my desire to use my business background to improve the world around me. In this day and age, there’s so much emphasis on profitability and cutting costs, and not enough emphasis on the power of business (and technology) to make a more sustainable and efficient world. I hope to take what I’ve learned at Fox and use it to shape a brighter future.
Service
In the end, it is my life goal to speak up for the voiceless, and help the hurting. I have seen the power of data, and the power of business to create wealth, and it is my desire to seek new, innovative ideas to create wealth for impoverished communities, and to bring education to those who do not have it .
