Coursework

Coursework

Throughout my experience as an MIS major at Temple University, thus far I have been exposed to SalesForce, MS Office Suite, Google Analytics, SQL, R Studio, JavaScript, and so much more. I am looking forward to experiencing and learning more programming languages and new ways to track and manage data.

Data Analytics

I had the thrill of watching the direct translation of what I was exposed to in my Data Analytics class to my internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Data Analytics provided me with concise exposure to MySQL and ETL methods that proved to be essential in my daily work. Working for such a large institution, the opportunities to interact with data are endless. Data Analytics provided me with the most efficient techniques to parse to large forms of data.

Data Centric Application Development

Previously, I completed an application development class that is explored HTML, CSS, JavaSCript, jQuery, and the use of API’s. This class enhanced my web development skills that have transitioned into real-world use. Specifically, this class helped me utilize an API that held real time data about the location of the ISS. Using this API, I was able to create an application that provided updates as to where the ISS was currently. As a personal project, I’ve been designing a website to display my photography and various art projects. I hope to use the skills and processes from this class to improve my website.
