International Research Intern
- I conducted internet research on healthcare facilities in Israel, Norway, and Thailand. I also verified the accuracy of hospital information in 40 separate segments
- For three separate countries, I updated and verified information on hospitals currently in the database, and I added data for hospitals not yet existing in the database. At about 20 hospital each week, I met a goal of updating and adding 200 hospitals/health centers to the database throughout the spring 2019 semester.
- This experience showed me first-hand the important of research and diligence. It was crucial that the information I researched was accurate and moreover, that I entered said data correctly and consistently in the database. The people who use this service use it because they are traveling and are unfamiliar with the healthcare system in the country; they rely on accurate information, especially when traveling and unexpectedly needing medical attention.
