Career Interests and Aspirations

Although I have many interests and would enjoy pursuing any of them, I am currently fascinated with the real estate market. I am in awe, most of all, over the resilience of land and property values. No matter how many times the economy falters (and real estate prices tumble), land values will always, eventually, improve. The most exciting aspect of this cycle for me is to observe, study, and predict the rise, plateau, or fall of any given area.

Of great concern to me is the current state of families in foreclosure on their homes due to poor economic situations and unscrupulous business practices. I would like to learn as much as possible about real estate sales and financing so as to help educate and assist home buyers with the best housing “fit” possible for them. I believe this would be an incredibly stimulating and satisfying endeavor.

In a perfect world, I would aspire to work with a company that facilitates continued learning, demonstrates a commitment to excellence, and expects a high level of integrity from all employees. However, since the real world is far too complex to expect a short and static laundry list of flawless attributes, I aspire to work with a company that behaves with accountability and is comfortable with change. As technology, global cultures, and innovative business processes change, this sort of company would not just survive and grow, but also enjoy the journey. Thus, dealing with challenges and managing their outcomes would be an exciting undertaking.
