Personal Interests
Besides spending time with my fabulous family and friends, I enjoy gardening, playing piano, and visiting museums. I find that reading books is especially relaxing, and I like almost any kind. I especially like historical fiction, poetry, and mystery or espionage novels. My favorite periodicals are Real Simple and Smithsonian magazines.
For me, gardening is a great way to learn about the world simply because it requires that you become more observant. In order to take care of what you grow, you have to learn about and take care of it’s environment. Getting in touch with my garden’s eco-system has helped me appreciate unattractive things like worms and fungi.
I do have a new interest this year. I will be stepping out of my comfort zone and learning how to ride my husband’s motorcycle. Don’t worry! I’ll be attending classes with the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program before I put myself out on the road.
Worms and fungi are the best.
I can heartily agree, Allan.
A beautiful flower; that’s how I think of you!
