About Me
My name is Kevin Zheng and I will officially become a graduate from the MIS program in February 2017. I went to Northeast Magnet High School in Northeast Philadelphia from 2009-2013. Upon graduation, I decided to go to Penn State Abington and study kinesiology as I wanted to become a Physical Therapist and help people. After three semesters, I changed my major to Information Sciences and Technology. A semester later, I wanted to mix business with technology and changed my major to Management Information Systems. My time at PSU came to an end as I decided that Temple had a better MIS program and could connect their students better with real world opportunities. I transferred to Temple in Spring 2015 and throughout the semesters, I’ve learned a great deal whether it’s about business strategies or coding languages. The combination of business and technical knowledge and skills ultimately landed me an intern position at The Franklin Institute in the Spring 2017 semester with their Digital Media team. During the semesters of Fall 2016 and Spring 2017, I’ve taken two courses called Digital Solutions Studio and Lead Global Digital Projects where the main focus was on business analysis and project management. From these two classes, we interacted with real world clients and worked on a semester long project as a Business Analyst and as a Project Manager. This really jumpstarted my interest in those areas and I will look forward to expanding my knowledge and passion in those fields.
