Hi guys, the following presentations are one of the fews that I’ve worked on during my MIS capstone in Fall 2017.
In the PowerPoint presentation, slides 1-9 focused on blockchain technology and the application of disruptive innovation associated with the healthcare industry. In the slides, we went over a case summary that we’ve read (in the references slide), explained what was healthcare blockchain, the disruptive innovation it had, how it would change the healthcare industry, and the main key takeaways.
From slides 10-21, that was our capstone project. Our project covered an issue with Temple’s course scheduling, and faculty planning and hiring. For the project, we talked about the project overview, the current process and issues, our proposed strategic solution, the business case, and our final suggestions and implementation plan.
In my opinion, the capstone project is where you showcase all the skills and knowledge that you’ve been gaining in the prior semesters. This project relies heavily on both independent and teamwork. In your teams, you will most likely have the roles of project managers, business analysts, and software developers. Each person will uphold their own individual responsibilities but still work together when it is time to put everything together. Depending on how you’ll delegate the roles and the tasks, a person(s) will document and organize all work, another will facilitate meetings with stakeholders and sponsors to gather and elicit requirements, and another or all of you will help build the final solution at the very end.
