Summer Internship with Pfizer

Dates: 5/16/16 through 8/19/16

Account Management Associate, Summer Student Worker

  • PROJECT MAGELLAN — This is known as a Microsoft SharePoint “makeover” project. Specifically, I was assigned to the Ease of Use work stream, which was formed to make the SharePoint platform easier to use. My work heavily involved vendor evaluation for two products, LiveTiles and Nintex, that will go on top of the SharePoint platform and improve the end user’s ability to enhance/manipulate/redesign their own sites (LiveTiles) and create complex workflows with ease (Nintex). My tasks included: use case testing on the products, assisting the development of the business case, project planning, etc.
  • SHAREPOINT 2007 DMZ DECOMMISSION — This project was created to inform SP2007 DMZ site owners that their sites were under a targeted date for shutdown and to track their roadmaps for decommissioning/migrating/upgrading. My tasks included: reaching out to these business partners, exploring their options, keeping track of their roadmaps, assisting those sites that chose to migrate or upgrade, and ultimately decommissioning those sites that were no longer needed.
  • ACCOUNT MANAGER VALUE REALIZATION — This project was created to unearth and reveal the value that Account Managers bring to Pfizer. My work involved communication with all Account Managers (8 total) to understand the work/projects they completed in order to determine “soft value” metrics which have revealed their value to the organization. My tasks included: near-constant and individual meetings with all Account Managers, tracking their work/projects and allotting the characteristics into “soft value” categories, gathering and interpreting the metrics, reporting these metrics to the Leadership Team, etc.
