Job Description: eLeadCorp is a lead generation service the partners with technology companies, most commonly managed service providers. The company is 10-15 employees, and located in King of Prussia, PA. My role was to become a product expert and educate potential customers on our clients services in order to set an appointment for a sales person to come in and close. Projects I worked on included: product research and education of fellow employees, customer needs research, potential customer development, customer outreach and relationship management, researching CRM/email campaign tools (Salesforce, Hubspot, Mailchimp), developing effective sales pitches and email campaigns.

Throughout this internship I learned how to efficiently use the internet for quick and effective research and personal education, similar to skills I learned during flash research projects in MIS 2501. I also learned how to bridge the gap in knowledge between IT and sales. This helped me to effectively communicate with Directors of IT and portray the value our clients can bring to them and how our services can help their business. I also learned how to tailor my approach depending on whom I was speaking with. For example, some companies gave purchasing power to the IT department, while others were done through someone in finance, like a CFO. Depending on who I was speaking with I had to change my approach as each had different agendas and interests in the decisions.
