Field Technecian
My job at PCS, as a field technician, was to provide technical support for their clients while onsite. The FSU (Field Service Unit) provided onsite assistance from fixing Microsoft blue screen to troubleshooting network issues. Every day it was something new. I got to learn all about Windows and its features along with the all hardware involved with networking. Troubleshooting was exciting and a challenge.
The Field Service Unit related to Enterprise IT architecture. That class was the introduction to something I fell in love with. I enjoy working with computers and understanding all about them and how they function. It is ever changing and I want to continue to work for more certifications and continue to grow my technical knowledge.
This began as a 4 week internship, but I continued to show my enthusiasm to learn and they extended the internship until December 2nd. I have been working for PCS as an Intern for nearly 7 months. I just recently received my A+ certification so they will be hiring me shortly. I also intend to receive my network+ within the next 6 months.
