A+ certification: A valuable start to a career in IT
I received my A+ because it was requested upon by my employer. I took time after work to study for the exam. It is broken into two exams, the 901 and 902. It is a valuable base certification offered by CompTIA and is known within the industry. It covers all PC components, Operating systems, Network connections and many other things in depth. I was extremely proud to study for this on my off time and pass the exam. I am currently studying for my network+ and then will begin working on my security+. I utilized YouTube and a textbook. I really enjoyed learning the material so it did not seem like work. These CompTIA certifications are extremely useful within an IT career and I would recommend it to anyone within the MIS program!
