Larry Brandolph is currently an Associate Vice President and the Chief Information Security Officer for Temple University.  Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, he is responsible for the strategy, architecture, engineering, operations, service management and continuity planning of Temple’s Infrastructure (Data Centers, Network, Telecommunications, and Servers).   Additionally, as the CISO, he is responsible for the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security.

 

 

 

Prior to Temple University, Brandolph spent 16 years with CIGNA and in his most recent role was the Senior Director of Infrastructure Engineering, CIGNA Information Technology, reporting to CIGNA’s Vice President of Operations. Brandolph was head of CIGNA’s Distributed IT Operations with responsibility for the End User Services (Data Center Management, Field Support Operations, End User Provisioning, On-boarding and Security Services & Identity Management.)   Prior roles Brandolph was responsibility for all Distributed Computing Services. In this capacity, he was responsible for CIGNA’s Wintel Server Platform, End User Services, Security and Identity Management.

Brandolph received his undergraduate in Humanities and Business (1994) from the Pennsylvania State University and his MBA in Technology Management (2004) from University of Phoenix.

Outside, Brandolph has been a presenter for numerous conferences and continues to speak on behalf of emerging technologies and their impact in real world environments. Brandolph has presented at the Directory Expert Conference for several years and keynoted at VMworld 2008 presenting The New Enterprise Data Center: Virtualized and Green.  He also spoke about one of the largest Virtual Desktop Implementations.  Brandolph is a board member for the Colonial Burlington Foundation of Historic Burlington New Jersey and a member of Society of Information Management.
