Salesforce: Mulesoft: Easing Pains of Mule SAP S/4Hana Transformation
This presentation was presented by Salesforce/Mulesoft’s Mark Schindler and Denise Flueckiger and head of digital innovation at SIKA, Raul Jimenez. Mr. Jimenez’s company SIKA used Mulesoft (a data integration partner) to create a flexibile digital ecosystem that allows SIKA to do seamless data integration with SAP S4Hana, which normally is a daunting project, but made much easier by Mulesoft’s API-led methodology. The project with SIKA followed a strong commitment to a dual integration platform approach of SAP and Mulesoft. This webinar was definitely far out of my current range of technical/IT knowledge, but it was a helpful push to improve my technical knowledge through further research. I now have a better overall understanding of data integration and the laborious process of modernizing/transforming a digital environment. Mulesoft’s software makes the process easier for a number of reasons, with benefits including:
- Agility and flexibility (goal for 2023 is 70% API re-use)
- Allows for rapid development integration platforms (6-8 weeks)
- User-friendliness
- Time can be used more efficiently and deliverables can be submitted sooner
This activity is helping me meet my career goals by exposing me to the more technical side of IT and real-world examples of data integration executions.
