MS in Digital Marketing:AI and Healthcare Marketing

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the AI and Healthcare Marketing panel. One of my biggest takeaways was understanding what skills students should focus on for AI-driven marketing. The first one is to understand the audience and the content, determine the purpose of AI, and recognize why human input remains essential, especially in healthcare and ethical contexts.A key point that the panelist brought up  was “marketing first, AI second.” as marketers should prioritize knowing their audience, understanding where they get information, and identifying the best ways to reach them.

Lastly,  one of my major takeaway came from Darshan K., a lawyer on the panel, who highlighted the importance of data privacy.As he mentioned that AI in healthcare marketing must comply with industry regulations and ensure information is accurate and relevant. Since healthcare decisions directly impact people’s lives, marketing must be responsible for spreading accurate information first, before prioritizing gaining viewership . To avoid this from happening, I also learned that the healthcare marketing industry are building internally AI models to ensure data privacy and accuracy which is very important for the field.

This overall help me gain a better glimpse at the industry AI in healthcare marketing along with concerns and challenges that are currently found in that field.
